Data security explained in e-Commerce e-Guide training series

Data Security in e-Commerce was discussed in the fourth week of the e-Commerce e-Guide Training Program organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).​

The program was opened by TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department Head, Saygın Baban and TOBB Turkey e-Commerce Council Vice President and Etid President Emre Ekmekçi.

Valuable instructors such as Pelin Gökçe Uğurlu, İhsan Can Aşık and Dr. Tolga Tüfekçi took part in the training organized to provide information on ensuring data security in e-commerce and to increase the level of consciousness.

TOBB Legal Counsel Pelin Gökçe Uğurlu talked about the regulations on the protection of personal data. Uğurlu explained the registration process in practical terms in line with the necessity of registration of businesses to Verbis.

ASK Legal Founder İhsan Can Aşık explained the decisions of the Personal Data Protection Board and examples of good and bad practice in practice.

Dr. Tolga Tüfekçi, General Manager of Message Management System, stated that buyers are required to get permission before commercial messages to be sent to consumers within the scope of the Law on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce and the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages.

The program also provided detailed information about trust seal application in e-commerce.

The training will end the following week with the topic of e-Commerce Campaigns. Participants who attend 70% of the trainings will receive certificates.
