Turkey's Sector Councils begin work to increase domestic product use

Within the scope of the regulation made in the regulations of construction works, goods purchase tenders, service purchase tenders and consultancy tenders, a consultation meeting was held in order to match the Unit Price Tariffs (Item Numbers) numbers of the European Community Industrial Product List (Prod Com) and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and to update the domestic product lists more clearly.​
Ahmet Altıntuğlu, Director of TOBB Turkey Sector Councils, stated that pairing Prod Com and Item Numbers will create a more systematic structure and increase the use of domestic products. In this direction, they started to work as sector councils.
TOBB Turkey Air Conditioning Council Member Mehmet Åžanal said the pairing will allow the JCC to make the follow-up process after the tender and to accurately analyze the list of domestic products. In this way, the use of domestic goods in tenders will increase effectively.
