- Praise from Özgener for cooperation

TOBB Board Member Mahmut Özgener said, "İzmir is one of the most important economic centers of Turkey. Opening the satellite center of Facebook Station in İzmir will strengthen the city's entrepreneurial potential. İzmir Station and the relationship between the actors in İzmir entrepreneurship ecosystem with Istanbul, Ankara and abroad will be strengthened. Activities aimed at developing SMEs will also be carried out under the leadership of our entrepreneurial boards in İzmir. I hope that today's signing will prove beneficial for the city's economy."

İzmir Commodity Exchange (ICE) President Işınsu Kestelli said, "Today, education is the beginning of every business. It doesn't matter whether you're a graduate teenager or a certain point in their own industry. Each of us has to update our knowledge regularly. Since we are not mobile apps but human beings, there is no possibility that anyone will present these updates to us. In parallel with the evolving technologies, we have to do this ourselves."

Çağatay Pekyörür, Head of Public Policy at Facebook Turkey, said: "In all our community centers, we will organize training programs and workshops focusing on a range of different issues, such as developing export strategies through online fields, using digital marketing tools, learning in the field of Facebook products and growing through digital communication so that individuals, businesses, communities and NGOs can develop themselves in the digital world."

"With this protocol, which we see as a goodwill agreement, we aim to fundamentally support entrepreneurship in the region."

Bornova Mayor Mustafa Ä°duÄŸ pointed out that Bornova Municipality has implemented important projects in the field of digitalization and innovation.
