Libya evacuation operation was successful

The  President of  Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, spoke at the Export-Oriented Manufacturing Strategy Review Board, stating that the excavation process of Turkish citizens from Libya was very successful, continuing, “Some problems may be experienced during the evacuations, but this should disturb the morale.” ​ ​

Turkish German Economy Gathering will take place on 28 February 2011 at the Hannover Congress Center by the organization of Turkish German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TD-IHK). Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Industry and Trade Nihat Ergün will be present at the gathering. ​ ​

The British Chamber of Commerce of Turkey visited TOBB

TheTurkish British Chamber of Commerce President Jonathan Beard and Vice President Melvin Cottrell visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklioğlu. He stressed with the support of Hisarcıklioğlu, they visited several chambers of commerce and industry and advanced cooperation. Beard mentioned they hope this support will continue in 2011 as well. ​ ​

The modernization of the Nusaybin Customs Gate is starting

The ground breaking ceremony of the Nusaybin Customs Gate, whose modernization with the model of Build-Operate-Transfer will be carried out by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and its affiliate Customs and Tourism Enterprises Co. Inc who have been liable to make modernization of the customs gates by beginning from 2002 and have been charged with taking facilitative precautions about domestic and external trade with Law no:5174, will be carried into effect on 02.26.2011,Saturday.​ ​

Great Appriciation from Balkan Chambers to TOBB’s Employment Project

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB attended General Assembly of Association of Balkan Chambers.  Hisarcıklıoğlu informed presidents and representatives of chambers of Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Montenegro and Albania about the TOBB project on vocational training and employment.​​ ​

We develop a joint model

M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, president of TOBB and DEIK stated at the round table meeting organized by the cooperation of DEIK/ Turkish-Malaysian Business Council and TOBB that the current trade with Malaysia does not demonstrate the actual potential of the two states. President of TOBB M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister of Finance Mehmet Şimşek attended the opening ceremony of the first courses in Adana. UMEM Beceri’10 Project is realized by Ministry of Security and Social Affairs, Ministry of Education, TOBB and TOBB-ETÜ to reduce unemployment. ​ ​

If we want democracy, we need to stop informal economy

In “Tax Record-Breakers, Successful Exporters and Businessmen with Highest Official Registration“ award ceremony that was organized in Adana, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that as long as there is informal economy, people will have problems expressing their rights and wants, and added “If we want democracy, we need to stop informal economy.” ​ ​
