Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The first of the “Chamber/Exchange Secretary General Meetings” organized to evaluate the practices regarding the Chamber/Exchange legislation was held with Konya provincial and district Chambers/Exchanges.​

The report of the “Open Source Software Sector Workshop” organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Software Council was published.​

Vocational Education Policy Document Workshop was held at Adapazarı Sezginler Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Application Hotel on January 16-18 with the participation of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye and relevant institutions and organizations.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Chamber/Exchange Council Members Information Seminar, spanning the days of January 20-21, 2024, started at TOBB Twin Towers.​

Trainings on post inspection of origin and circulation documents and preferential and non-preferential rules of origin were held in İstanbul, Kocaeli and Bursa on 16-18 January 2024 in the Marmara Region under the coordination of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).​

In the year 2023 the number of newly established Companies and the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 8,3% and 26,6% while the number of cooperatives increased by 61,3% with respect to the same period of the year 2022.​

Circular Economy Conference was held with the participation of Seyit Ardıç, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).​

The 4th International İstanbul Geographical Indications Summit was held in İstanbul with the main theme of “Local Value is Global Value,” hosted by Metro Türkiye, in cooperation with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).​

A special screening of the Colorful Dreams Stage Project documentary, which was realized for children affected by the earthquake, took place. The documentary screening of the “Colorful Dreams Stage” project, which was realized by the Theater Cooperative with the support of TOBB Creative Industries Council and Netflix Türkiye and in cooperation with Needs Map and touched the lives of 7,500 children, was held.​

At the TOBB Türkiye Medical Council meeting, it was emphasized that the period foreseen for the transition to the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) within the scope of EU harmonization has narrowed. During the meeting, Dr. Asım Hocaoğlu, President of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK), emphasized that the MDR transition process should be planned correctly by the medical device sector, while S. Zeki Murzioğlu, Vice President of the Board of Directors of TOBB, stated that they are ready to provide all necessary support to sector representatives in this process.​
