Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

“Identification and Pre-Feasibility Study of Licensed Warehousing Needs for TRC3 Region's Agricultural Products” was completed as a part of the Dicle Development Agency's Direct Financing Support.​

The signing ceremony of the Grandma Project Protocol was held with the participation of Labor and Social Security Minister Mehmet Müezzinoğlu, Minister of Family and Social Policy Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and other stakeholders of the project. At the signing ceremony, TOBB was represented by Ender Yorgancılar, Vice Chairman of the Board. İstanbul Chamber of Commerce President İbrahim Çağlar, Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman İbrahim Burkay and Istanbul Chamber of Industry President Erdal Bahçıvan attended the signing ceremony to represent stakeholder institutions.​

As a part of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Chambers/Exchanges Accreditation System efforts, “Accreditation System Promotion Training” was held for Accreditation Monitoring Committees of Chambers / Commodity Exchanges which were approved for the 13th term, hosted by TEPAV. ​

The Institutional Development Program Training continued on 3rd and 4th of February, 2017.​

The Turkish E-Commerce Council meeting was held at TOBB Plaza under the chairmanship of Council Chair Öget Kantarcı. In the meeting, priority topics of industry were discussed to determine Turkey's E-Commerce roadmap.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) announced the statistics for the year 2016. In 2015, a total of 419 fairs were organized in the country. This number has reached 426 in the past year. In 2016, the number of fair visitors increased by 1,010,107 compared to 2015.​

In January, 2,626 capacity reports were approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey. 2,626 capacity report approved in January; 756 in İstanbul, 201 in İzmir, 164 in Ankara, 137 in Bursa, 98 in Konya and Gaziantep, 71 in Kocaeli, 65 in Adana , 57 in Denizli, 54 in Kayseri.​

Turkey Durable Consumer Goods Council held its first meeting in 2017 under the chairmanship of Council Chair Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu in TOBB Twin Towers.​

Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Hakan Ülken attended the business forum on “Searching for Excellence in Mechanical Engineering,” on behalf of TOBB in Liepaja, the industrial city of Latvia.​

Through TOBB, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety cooperation, construction contractors and suppliers of temporary work equipment were briefed at the TOBB Social Facilities on February 2, 2017. ​
