If we catch Europe’s productivity level, our economy can grow three times faster than now.

At the 50th plenary meeting of the National Productivity Centre of Turkey, the president of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that people are creating 12 $ added value with one hour working in Turkey and this value is approximately 40 $ in Europe. He noted that “If we catch Europe’s productivity level, our economy can grow three times faster than now”. ​ ​

Businessmen of Asia Pacific Region discovered Turkey

TOBB president M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry Confederation president Benedicto Yujuico evaluated 25th CACCI Conference in Istanbul. Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated cost of production will increase in Asia Pacific countries and portage will be a problem. TOBB president M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu noted Asia Pacific countries will be in need of investing abroad, we need to strengthen our existence in the region. ​ ​

Half of the World’s Economy Will Take Part In the Asia Pacific Region by 2050

The president of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) ,M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke at the 25. Business Summit of the Confederation of Asian Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) hosted by TOBB, stating that while the Asian Pacific countries ruled more then 50% of the world economy in 1980’s, this number was lowered to 18% in 1950’s, however, 50% of the world economy would belong to this region by 2010. ​ ​

25th CACCI Conference will bring together representatives from over 400 companies

  The conference will house bilateral meetings to strengthen trade connections between Asia Pacific region countries and Turkey. Turkey’s role in the region will also be discussed in the meetings.​ ​

Official launch of the PNB local chapter in Turkey

TOBB President and PNB Turkey Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu headed the official launch of “Partners for a New Beginning-Turkey”, which was held on March 4th, 2011 in Istanbul. The meeting was attended by Toni Verstandig, Executive Director of Middle East Program of Aspen Institute and PNB Turkey Executive Committee members. In the framework of the meeting, the Members of the Steering Committee of PNB Local Chapter in Turkey (PLC Turkey) was introduced and the participants were informed on the the priority projects which will be implemented under PNB Turkey. ​ ​

We Need To Create Mechanisms to Increase Trade with Slovenia

TOBB and DEİK President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke at the Turkish-Slovenian Business Forum organized by DEİK and stressed their desire to constitute strong economic cooperation with Slovenia, while the bilateral Trade volume has decreased 23%. He underlined the need to create mechanisms to increase the amount to the desired levels and such and increase would contribute also to the stability of Balkans. He also pointed to the low level of investments and the need to remove bureaucratic barriers. ​
