Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Mediterranean Region Consultation Meeting was held at the TOBB Twin Towers, hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. The meeting was attended by the Chairs of the Board of Directors of the Chambers of the Mediterranean Region, Council Chairs and Secretaries General.​

Newly appointed as Ambassador of Latvia to Ankara, Elferts Pēteris Kārlis visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB and Vice-President of EUROCHAMBRES (Union of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry), attended the “Turkey-EU Civil Society Meetings” in Berlin with EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik. ​

Applications have begun for the Respite Credit brought to reality by chambers and exchanges lead by TOBB. The Respite Credit, with surety provided by Credit Guarantee Fund, can be drawn from Denizbank and Ziraat Bank branches with an annual interest rate of 9.90% and a maturity of 12 months.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received Şırnak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chair Osman Geliş and the delegation accompanying him at his office. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the funeral ceremony of Mehmet Zengin, a police officer who was killed in the treacherous attack in Istanbul which took place at the Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque in Ankara, along with the presidents of the organizations forming the Turkey-European Union Joint Consultative Committee (Turkey-EU JCC).​

The Turkish wing of the Turkey-European Union Joint Consultative Committee, comprised of TÜRK-İŞ, TİSK, TESK, TZOB, HAK-İŞ, MEMUR-SEN, Turkey KAMU-SEN and TOBB, made a joint statement regarding the terror attack on Turkey in İstanbul.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his statement regarding the terror attack which caused death and injury to many in İstanbul stressed that terror is a crime against humanity which won’t benefit anybody, condemning those who hoped to gain by it.​

The Turkish Wing of the Turkey-European Union Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) comprised of TÜRK-İŞ, TİSK, TESK, TZOB, HAK-İŞ, MEMUR-SEN, KAMU-SEN and TOBB visited the President of TİSK Kudret Önen.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they, as business circles, want to strengthen the economy aspect, in addition to political and military aspects, of Turkey and US relations by trading and investing more; that the strength of Turkey-US relations is as important for Europe and the Middle East as it is for Turkey and the US.​
