TOBB-GS1 Turkey is the sole representative of GS1 in Turkey, which is a leading global organization dedicated to the design and implementation of global standards and solutions to improve the efficiency of the supply and demand chains globally and across sectors. With more than one million subscribers spread throughout different industries and sectors in 150 countries, the GS1 System of standards is the most widely used supply chain standards system in the world. The GS1 System includes four key standards areas, which are GS1 BarCodes, GS1 eCom, GS1 GDSN, GS1 EPCglobal and solutions integrating GS1 standards such as Traceability, Healthcare, Logistics and MobileCom

Established in 1988 as a department of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), GS1 Turkey conducts activities to implement and widespread GS1 System applications in Turkey. As a part of these activities, GS1 Turkey also enables companies in Turkey subscribe to GS1 system upon their request (Member companies are allocated GS1 company prefixes that they use to form barcode numbers for uniquely identifying their trade items, locations, assets, logistics units, etc. )
